The research carried out to develop the Chelsea model is an expression of Jean Nouvel's artistic sensibility. The handle was born at the same time as the 100 11th Avenue residential tower that Jean designed for the Chelsea neighborhood in the heart of Manhattan from which it takes its name: he imagines an architecture like a "vision machine" capable of capturing the reflections of the river Hudson which it overlooks. For the handles, Jean asked us for an unusual model. He is looking for a different shape compared to the tubular geometry that conventionally inspires the lever.
